Dr. Rozenn Perrigot (CREM, Université de Rennes 1), titulaire de la Chaire Franchise & Commerce en Réseau à l’IGR-IAE Rennes, a reçu le "2017 Arthur S. Karp Research Award – International Franchise Association – Franchise Education and Research Foundation" le 31 janvier 2017 lors de la 57ème Convention Annuelle de l’International Franchise Association (IFA) qui a eu lieu à Las Vegas – Etats-Unis du 28 janvier au 1er février 2017. Cette convention a réuni plus de 4000 franchiseurs, directeurs de réseaux, développeurs de réseaux, animateurs de réseaux, etc. du monde entier.
Ce prix lui a été décerné pour sa recherche intitulée "Franchising in the healthcare sector: The case of CFW in Keny" (la franchise dans le secteur de la santé : le cas de CFW au Kenya). En plus de la réception de ce prix en session plénière avec plus de 4000 personnes, Rozenn a présenté les résultats principaux de cette recherche lors des sessions "Franchising in the Social Sector TaskForce" le 29 janvier 2017 et "Educational Foundation Board of Trustees & Strategic Planning" le 31 janvier 2017.
Cette reconnaissance du monde professionnel au niveau international souligne les liens possibles entre la recherche et la pratique dans la franchise d’une part, et la pertinence du modèle de la franchise dans le secteur social en Afrique (et dans les pays émergents au sens large) d’autre part.
Dr. Rozenn Perrigot receives the Arthur S. Karp Research Award
Dr. Rozenn Perrigot, Director of the Center in Franchising, Retail & Service Chains at the Graduate School of Management (IGR-IAE), Université de Rennes 1, received the 2017 Arthur S. Karp Research award on 31st January 2017. The prize was awarded by the International Franchise Association and Franchise Education and Research Foundation during the 57th International Franchise Association (IFA) annual convention held in Las Vegas, USA, from 28th January to 1st February 2017.
The IFA annual convention brought together more than 4000 franchisors, chain directors, chain developers and chain managers from all over the world.
Dr. Perrigot was awarded the prize for her research entitled Franchising in the healthcare sector: The case of CFW in Kenya. She also presented the main results of this research during the Franchising in the Social Sector Task Force and Educational Foundation Board of Trustees & Strategic Planning sessions on 29th and 31st January 2017.
This recognition from the business world on an international scale highlights the possible links between research and franchising practices on the one hand and on the other hand, the relevance of the franchising model in the social sector in Africa and other emerging countries.
